Solid Hardwood Flooring

Hardwood floors make homes more valuable. The main concern for property owners with hardwood flooring is whether or not they have any. The wood age can affect the cost of floor cleaning. If your best flooring contractors is mature, you will need to have it refinished or repaired (minor renovation).

Three types of hardwood flooring are currently on the market. There are three to choose from. There are three types: strip, plank, or parquet. The strips are 1.5 to 275 inches wide. Plank sizes are more narrow than strips. Parquets, on the other hand, are made of squares that are arranged in a specific pattern. You can now decide what type of wood flooring to use if you have scaled up your floor plan.

Engineered wooden flooring is becoming a preferred option to solid hardwood flooring. This flooring is a combination of plywood and finish hardwood. The finish timber is what you will see when you walk on the flooring. The plywood underneath provides the sandwich with its dimensional strength.

If solid hardwood is not suitable for humid areas, engineered flooring can be installed in basements and bathrooms.

Another wonderful thing about engineered timber is the variety of installation options. The lighter woods can be fixed to floors, while the heavier varieties can also be used for floating floors. Floating floors are the great boon to do-it-yourselfers–no heavy staplers to lug around, no sub-floor. As long as your existing flooring is stable and level, the floating floor can be installed right on top.
